Effective, March 1, 2021 the City of Foley will begin self-collecting sales, use, rental and lodging tax. Formerly, the Alabama Department of Revenue collected on our behalf. If you file through the My Alabama Taxes (MAT) system, you may continue to do so. The only difference is you will need provide ADOR with your City of Foley Taxpayer ID#.
If you have filed tax for the City of Foley within the last 12 months, you will receive a letter with your new Foley Taxpayer ID. If you have not filed tax for the City of Foley in the past 12 months and you need to submit tax, please complete the application below and return it to Anita Allen at email@example.com and a new Taxpayer ID# will be assigned. We will begin accepting returns on April 1st for sales during March 1 – 31.
***Please note, we no longer allow a DISCOUNT for timely paid tax. Also, we are no longer assessing interest on late file/paid returns.
If you want to pay as ACH Credit, you must first be approved by ADOR. Please email Anita, firstname.lastname@example.org to request a copy of our banking information (for ACH Credit only).
