OWA’s 2nd annual Caribbean Day

Saturday, August 7
We’ll be dancing, jamming and casting our cares away as the soft breeze of the islands sway through Downtown OWA. Catch a glimpse of Caribbean culture right here in Foley as the sounds of the steel drums and Calypso rhythms blend effortlessly with your frosty afternoon beverage.

Calling all vendors! We’re looking for arts & crafts vendors to be a part of our Caribbean Day celebration! Does your art have a flair for the island life? Vendor spaces are $30 with applications due by July 28th.

Are you a local artist? Why not compete in our live sidewalk chalk art competition?! We’ll be giving away cash prizes for both Pro and Youth categories, so submit your application to be a part of our Caribbean Day fun NOW! Registration deadline is July 28th.

Start your day with a refreshing treat! The Spice & Tea Exchange will offer complimentary brewed Mango Tango or Blue Raspberry Crush tea while supplies last between 11am and 8pm.

Catch a live art competition, arts & crafts vendors, kid’s activities and live entertainment starting at 4pm. Judging at the art competition will take place at 7:30pm on the OWA Island Stage.

We’ll also have special guests Dex Daley and JAM-X performing a unique blend of reggae, ska and Caribbean roots music incorporating the steel drum on the OWA Island starting at 4pm followed by The Defrosters at 8:30pm.
