New budget on Foley agenda

FOLEY – With a new fiscal year about to begin, Foley officials are scheduled to vote Tuesday, Sept. 3, on a new budget. The Foley City Council meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at City Hall. FOLEY – The municipal election season is underway in Alabama with one year to go until voters choose mayors and council members in most cities and towns throughout the state. Foley improving traffic flow on city streets

FOLEY – As Foley grows and more vehicles pass through the city, planners and engineers are working to balance traffic issues such as speeding, congestion and overall safety. Foley Labor Day sanitation collection schedule set

FOLEY – The schedule for some Foley sanitation collection services will be modified due to the Labor Day holiday. All city offices, including the Public Works Department, will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, for the holiday. Offices will reopen Tuesday. Recycling collections usually scheduled for Mondays will be collected Tuesday, Sept. 2. The pickup schedule for the rest of the week will not be affected. Foley Rose Trail project wins state Main Street award

FOLEY – A project to add green space and an extended floral trail to downtown Foley won a state award for contributions to the local community. The program was one of the achievements recognized by Main Street Alabama during its 11th- annual Awards of Excellence Banquet in Monroeville. Countywide addressing update nears completion

FOLEY — After almost a year of effort, a project to validate and improve address information for Baldwin County 9-1-1 is near completion. Baldwin 9-1-1 has been working with Geo-Comm, Inc. of Saint Cloud, Minn. to support the objectives of Next Generation 9-1-1, known as NG9-1-1, readiness at both the local and state levels. Traffic safety plan on Foley agenda

FOLEY – A plan to cut traffic accidents and deaths in Foley is one of the items on the agenda for the City Council when it meets Monday, Aug. 19. Foley planning downtown area street improvements

FOLEY – Better traffic flow and pedestrian access between downtown and nearby neighborhoods are some of the goals of street improvement projects being studied by Foley. The city held a series of downtown neighborhood district streetscape study focus groups.
