August 17th, or 8/11, serves as a critical reminder to home builders, contractors, and homeowners to call Alabama 811 before digging to avoid damages to underground utilities and the hefty repair costs that follow.

This 811 Day, Riviera Utilities, Daphne Utilities, the City of Foley, the City of Daphne, the City of Fairhope, and the City of Spanish Fort are partnering to spread awareness and educate our citizens and customers about the resources available to them through Alabama 871. A short call and a visit from a line locator can save you time, money, and keep your family safe. City buildings and landmarks will be “Glowing Green” from August 8 – August 17 to catch the attention of locals and travelers, alike!
