Foley’s beloved Art in the Park celebration returns for its 53rd year on Mother’s Day weekend, May 10–11, at John B. Foley Park in the heart of downtown.
Hosted by the Foley Art Center, this juried fine arts show will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 80 talented artists will showcase a wide array of original creations, including paintings, drawings, pottery, stained glass, carved wood, textiles, jewelry, and more—providing the perfect opportunity to shop for one-of-a-kind treasures.
A free, family-friendly event, Art in the Park is a cherished tradition held annually on Mother’s Day weekend. Visitors are invited to explore the festival’s relaxed outdoor atmosphere while enjoying exceptional artwork, live demonstrations, and entertainment.
This year’s expanded children’s area will include hands-on art activities and face painting, while a youth art exhibit will highlight creative works from students at Foley Middle School, Foley High School, and Elberta High School. Each year, one student’s piece is selected to represent the festival on promotional materials. The 2025 Art in the Park t-shirt and poster design, created by 10th grade artist Laila Al-Biyati, will be featured at this year’s event. Laila will be available Saturday morning to sign shirts, which can be purchased at the Foley Art Center tent. Prices are $15 for sizes S–L and $20 for XL–XXL.
Since 1966, the Foley Art Center has played a vital role in supporting and promoting the arts across the Gulf Coast region. The organization provides educational programs, art classes, and grant funding that enrich the community and support more than 5,000 local students each year.
