FOLEY – The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, Dec. 1.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.
Among the items on the agenda are:
- A public hearing to consider an ordinance amending the city zoning ordinance.
- A presentation by ARC of the Gulf Coast.
- The second reading of an ordinance amending the Foley Zoning Ordinance.
- Amending the pay classification plan in General Government and the Police Department.
- Declaring three Sanitation Department vehicles surplus and disposing of the items.
- Accepting the Walmart Spark Local Good Grant.
- Approving the rental of Heritage Park for the Gumbo and Alabama Slammer Festival and a variance to allow alcohol to be sold.
- Approving the rental of Heritage Park for the Mudbugs and Margaritas Festival and a variance to allow alcohol to be sold.
- Amending the Street Department budget for sidewalks and street maintenance.
- Participating in drainage improvements northwest of the Cedar Street/U.S. 98 alley area.
- Approving Axis Engineering Group LLC’s professional services proposal for the Iberville Square turn lane.
- Installing street lights at the intersection of James Road and Baldwin County 12.
- Approving the installation of street lights on Hamilton Boulevard.
- Using funds previously subawarded to the South Baldwin Regional Workforce Development Authority.
- Installing street lights at the entrance to Meadow Run Estates subdivision.
- Approving the installation of a four-way stop sign at North Alston Street and West Peachtree Avenue.
- Converting two intersections on South Alston Street at West Myrtle Avenue and West Roosevelt Avenue to four-way stops.
- Setting a public hearing to declare vacant property on Miflin Road to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement.
- Setting a public hearing to declare weeds on Oak Street to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement.
- Applying for the Fiscal Year 2026 Library Services and Technology Act Grant for the new Library STEAM Lab.
- Setting a public hearing to declare weeds on South Hickory Street in front of the Crownwalk subdivision to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement.
- Setting a public hearing declaring property on East Gate Circle to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement.
- Setting a public hearing declaring property on West Laurel Avenue to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement.
- Amending the pay classification plan for the reorganization of the Fire Department.
- Entering into an agreement for third-party fire and life safety compliance monitoring.
