FOLEY – The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, Feb. 2.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.

Among the items on the agenda are:

  • A public hearing to consider an ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 21-2015 on impact fees.
  • A presentation on recycling in Baldwin County presented by Terri Graham, Baldwin County Solid Waste Department director.
  • The first reading of an ordinance declaring certain real property not needed for municipal purposes and authorizing the lease of the property to Autoworx LLC, doing business as NAPA Auto Parks of Foley.
  • The first reading of an ordinance accepting public rights-of-way and infrastructure improvements in multiple subdivisions for city maintenance.
  • The second reading of an ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 21-2015 on impact fees.
  • Amending the professional consulting and project services agreement with EnCompass360 Inc.
  • Going to bid for a new SUV for the Sports Tourism Department.
  • Applying for the U.S. Department of Transportation BUILD Grant for the 2026 fiscal year.
  • Transferring funds between departments – Police Personnel and Operations.
  • Waiving the fees for the use of the Foley Civic Center.
  • Going to bid for a new SUV for the Senior Center.
  • Approving the Downtown Parking Lot Resurfacing Project, appropriating funds for construction and requesting permission to go to bid..
  • Accepting GeoCon’s professional services proposal for the First Responder Hurricane Safe Room project.
  • Purchasing two new HVAC units.
  • Accepting and using unbudgeted money received by the Foley Police Department.
  • Gong to bid for a truck for the Horticulture Department.
  • Modifying the performance contract with the Baldwin County Board of Education for Foley High School Athletics.
  • Appointing Vera Quaites to the Planning Commission Board.
  • Reappointing Thomas Gebhart Jr. to the Planning Commission.
  • Approving the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation’s Walk This Way – An ‘80s Tribute Parade.
