FOLEY – The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, Feb. 16.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.

Among the items on the agenda are: 

  • A public hearing to declare junk and debris to be removed and to order its abatement on West Roosevelt Avenue.
  • Proclaiming Feb. 28 as Arbor Day in Foley.
  • Hearing department reports from Planning and Zoning, Human Resource, Police, Building and Fire and tax and permit reports.
  • Approving and paying bills for January for the record.
  • Declaring property not needed for municipal purposes and authorizing its lease to Autoworx LLC, doing business as NAPA Auto Parts Foley.
  • Accepting public rights of way and infrastructure improvements in Riverside at Arbor Walk Phase Three subdivision.
  • Declaring certain real property surplus and no longer needed for municipal purposes and authorizing its sale.
  • Accepting public rights of way and infrastructure improvements in multiple subdivisions for city maintenance. 
  • Approving a restaurant retail liquor license for Half Shell Oyster House at 118 W. Laurel Ave.
  • Modifying residential sanitation collection fees.
  • Authorizing city employees to enter property on West Roosevelt Avenue to abate a public nuisance.
  • Waiving fees for the use of Heritage Park by Crosspoint Baptist Church to host a Candlelight Worship and Christmas Carolling Service on Dec. 19.
  • Assisting the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce with the 2026 Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival.
  • Approving monthly bids for January 2026.
  • Hiring a company to move existing furniture into the new library and authorizing funds for the project.
  • Declaring Sgt. Joey Linder’s badge and service weapon as surplus.
  • Memorializing the application for the Fiscal Year 2026 Dollar General Summer Reading Program Grant.
  • Transferring a truck to the Municipal Complex Department.
  • Appropriating funds for window tinting at City Hall and the Finance Building.
  • Amending a resolution to approve Police Department vehicles to be deemed surplus.
  • Amending a resolution to declare two trucks as surplus in the Parks and Recreation Department.
  • Waiving the fees for the use of the Foley Civic Center for the Foley Cub Scouts.
  • Approving the purchase of a John Deere front mount mower by the Street Department.
  • Accepting the Site Development Project Agreement from the Alabama Industrial Development Authority.
  • Declaring multiple Street Department vehicles and construction equipment as surplus and disposing of the items.
  • Amending a resolution approving the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Walk This Way – An ‘80’s Tribute Parade.
  • Waiving the fees for the use of Heritage Park for Hearts of Heroes on March 1.
  • Reappointing Diane Bunch to the Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board.
  • Accepting a donation from the Friends of the Library to buy equipment for the new library.
  • Approving the use of the Foley Park by Calvary Chapel of Foley to offer prayer to the community.
  • Requesting permission to solicit a consulting firm to develop a municipal campus master plan.
  • Installing new street lights on Fairway Drive and Putter Lane in Glenlakes.
  • Installing a four-way stop at East Orange Avenue and South Chicago Street.
  • Appointing voting delegates to the Alabama League of Municipalities Annual Business Session.
  • Amending the pay classification and authorizing a budget transfer in the Planning and Development Service Department.
  • Granting an electric line right of way to Baldwin EMC.
  • Establishing a Museums and Heritage Department and amending the pay classification plan authorizing a museums and heritage director.
  • Modifying commercial sanitation collection fees.
  • Purchasing nine police vehicles and equipment.
  • Requesting an increase of additional funds and appropriating those funds for maintenance in the Armory Building.
