Hundreds of winter visitors attended Foley’s annual Snowbird Coffee on Tuesday, Jan. 13, celebrating the city’s seasonal residents and welcoming them to the community.

The event is held each year on the second Tuesday in January at the Foley Civic Center. Seasonal visitors had the opportunity to visit with representatives from city departments and local organizations, including public safety, the Foley Public Library, the Senior Center, the Caboose Club, the Foley Art Center and other area attractions and services.

Participants said the Snowbird Coffee provides a chance to learn more about Foley while connecting with residents and fellow winter visitors. Approximately 700 people took part in the morning event.

As part of the celebration, attendees were invited to participate in a downtown scavenger hunt offering more than 60 prizes. The hunt encourages participants to explore downtown Foley, discover local shops and attractions, and experience the community firsthand.

Organizers also distributed welcome bags filled with coupons, information and other items for visitors to enjoy during their stay.

The Snowbird Coffee is hosted each year by the City of Foley in partnership with the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Foley.
