FOLEY – South Baldwin County residents now have a location in Foley where they can contact their local Congressional representative.
Alabama’s U.S. Rep. Barry Moore has opened an office in Foley City Hall. The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office’s telephone number is 251-437-6310.
The Foley City Council voted to provide three offices on the east side of City Hall for the use of Moore’s staff. The agreement went into effect in January, after Moore took office as the representative for the First Congressional District in Alabama.
Mayor Ralph Hellmich said the office will allow residents needing information or assistance to meet with members of Moore’s staff.
” Our citizens appreciate the opening of Congressman Moore’s Office in Foley,” Hellmich said. “We have always worked closely with our Congressional delegation but having a convenient office location is great for the citizens of South Baldwin County.”
The office is located at 407 East Laurel Ave. Visitors can enter through a separate door on the east side of City Hall or use the building’s main entrance.
Moore has represented Alabama in Congress since 2021. He was first elected as the representative in the Second Congressional District.
A court-order changed Congressional district boundaries. The order placed Moore and First District representative Jerry Carl in the First District. Moore defeated Carl in the 2024 Republican primary and was elected as the First District representative in November.
