Foley police investigation leads to federal sentencing in multi-state fraud scheme

FOLEY — A Foley Police Department investigation has led to the federal sentencing of two men involved in a multi-state conspiracy to sell counterfeit gold and silver, resulting in over $120,000 in fraudulent sales. Rossi Windham, 42, and Dylan Jemison, 21, both of Sylacauga, Alabama, along with a minor whose identity remains confidential, were part of the scheme uncovered in 2023 after a local victim reported suspicious activity to Foley Police. The victim informed investigators that Jemison had sold him fake gold bars for $20,000 and later attempted to sell additional counterfeit items. [...]

West Peachtree improvements underway

FOLEY – Travel on West Peachtree Avenue is set to improve thanks to infrastructure upgrades approved by the Foley City Council. The council has authorized major drainage repairs near the Foley Airport, where aging metal storm pipes have collapsed and caused damage to the roadway. Foley limb collection demand on the rise

FOLEY – With spring in full swing, yard work and seasonal cleanup are creating higher-than-usual demand for Foley’s limb collection services. The Foley Sanitation Department continues to collect tree limbs and yard debris from homes across the city on a weekly basis. Baldwin’s first baby box program for infants coming to Foley

FOLEY – Foley is set to become the first city in Baldwin County to install a Safe Haven Baby Box, providing a secure, anonymous option for parents in crisis to safely surrender their newborns.
