Community Comes Together to Feed Neighbors

The City of Foley, in partnership with numerous local organizations, came together on November 19 to distribute more than 80,000 pounds of food to those in need during the Waymaker Food Drive. The goal of the event was to deliver vital food assistance to local families ahead of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. The organizations that took part were Feeding the Gulf Coast, Calvary Chapel Fellowship of Foley, Be Balanced Wholistic Health Care, Local Vibe, and Cooper Farm. Foley Expands Downtown Building Lighting Program

FOLEY – Foley’s popular downtown lighting program is growing as the city prepares to add more illuminated outlines to historic buildings. The Foley City Council has approved the purchase of additional lighting for the second phase of the project, which highlights the architectural silhouettes of buildings in the downtown area. More Sidewalk Improvements Planned Along Alabama 59

FOLEY – Foley continues to expand its network of sidewalks, with new improvements planned along Alabama 59. The Foley City Council has approved a proposal to survey and design the next section of sidewalk along the highway, extending from East Orchid Avenue north to East Section Avenue. The new walkway will connect to an area near the Foley Justice Center and the Baldwin County Satellite Courthouse. Improvements Approved for Beulah Heights Park Access Project

FOLEY – Access to Beulah Heights Park will soon be even better with new lighting and sidewalks added to the area’s combined street extension and walking trail. Foley starting Christmas preparations

FOLEY – Christmas is coming to Foley as city crews and volunteers begin putting up lights, trees, and festive displays throughout town. Work is underway in Heritage Park and along major roads to set up the city’s Christmas tree and the many decorations that have made Foley a holiday destination. Foley offices to close Monday, Tuesday for Veterans Day

FOLEY – Non-emergency Foley city offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 10 and 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Closures include Foley City Hall, the Senior Center, Welcome Center, Public Library, city museums, and most municipal offices. FOLEY – The Foley Public Library is offering several free opportunities for anyone who wants to learn more about computers, devices, and online tools. Foley council, mayor start new term Monday

FOLEY – Foley’s newly elected and returning leaders will officially begin their four-year terms on Monday, Nov. 3, as the city’s new administration takes office.
