New Library-Community Center Nears Completion; Roadway Improvements on Track

Construction is nearing completion on Foley’s new library-community center, along with roadway improvements designed to enhance access to the facility. Foley acquiring 121-acre site for industry

 A 121-acre parcel along the Foley Beach Express will become Baldwin County’s newest industrial development site through a partnership involving the City of Foley, Baldwin Alliance and the state of Alabama. The City of Foley will purchase the property located near the southwest corner of the intersection of the Foley Beach Express and Baldwin Beach Express. Foley Municipal Airport Open House Set March 21

The public is invited to explore Foley’s municipal airport during the second-annual open house on Saturday, March 21. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holk Field at Foley Municipal Airport, located at 510 Airport Drive near Underwood Road (Baldwin County 24). The City of Foley and Lightning Aviation, which oversees airport operations, will host the open house. Foley Baby Box now open

Parents who are unable to care for an infant now have a safe and anonymous option in Foley. A Safe Haven Baby Box has been installed and is now operational at Foley Fire Station No. 1 on West Verbena Avenue. Warming space opens at St. Paul’s Episcopal in Foley

A space for anyone needing a warm location during expected cold weather will be open at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley. The safer place location opened Monday, March 16, at 3 p.m. The site is scheduled to remain open until Wednesday, March 18 at 9 a.m. The warming space is located on the second floor of the church administration building at 506 N. Foley finances receive more recognition

Foley’s finances continue to receive high marks, with the city’s annual audit finding municipal finances in strong condition. The Foley City Council recently received the annual audit report conducted by the financial firm Warren Averett.
