The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, July 6. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.

Among the items on the agenda are:

  • A public hearing to rezone property owned by Vulcan Inc. from light industrial, M1, to local business, B-3.
  • A public hearing to amend the Foley Zoning Ordinance.
  • A public hearing to declare the accumulation of junk, trash and litter to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement on East Myrtle Avenue.
  • A public hearing to declare weeds and the accumulation of debris, junk and litter to be a public nuisance and deeming a burned dwelling unsafe and ordering its abatement on Linton Lane.

  • Implementing the CivicPlus Digital Government Platform Suite authorizing related expenditures and approving budget modification.
  • Applying for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Homeland Security Grant for the 2026 fiscal year.
  • Approving the retirement of K9 Bo and declaring the dog as surplus to his handler.
  • Approving the third amendment to the Local Public School Support Agreement between the City of Foley and the Baldwin County Board of Education.
  • Authorizing employees to enter property on East Myrtle Avenue to abate a public nuisance.
  • Authorizing employees to enter property on Linton Lane to abate a public nuisance.
  • Authorizing employees to enter property on East Azalea Avenue to abate a public nuisance.

  • Approving monthly electrical costs associated with street lights located in Glenlakes Phase 3.
  • Installing a three-way stop at the intersection of Albatross Drive and Lakeview Drive.
  • Approving the professional services proposal from The Capstone Engineering Group for the North Cedar Street sidewalk improvements from West Peachtree Avenue to Village Square Boulevard.
  • Accepting the FY2026 Gulf Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council Grant.
  • Applying for the FY2026 Pre-Disaster Mitigation, PDM, congressionally directed spending grant program.
  • Appropriating funding for the Street Department’s in-house construction of the north-south corridor of the Wilson Avenue-Equestrian Park Road.
  • Approving Williams Blackstock Architect’s proposal for professional services for the new Senior Center.
  • Setting a public hearing declaring the accumulation of junk, trash and litter to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement on Cedar Court.
  • Approving the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s Chicago Street Supper Club event.
  • Establishing a policy regarding the ownership, operation, maintenance, replacement and electrical service costs of streetlights within HOA-controlled residential subdivisions.
  • Rescinding the purchase of an emotional support dog.
  • Approving Allen Engineering and Science’s professional services agreement amendment for the Wilson Avenue and Equestrian Park project.
