Non-emergency City of Foley offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Offices will reopen for regular business hours Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Police, fire and other essential emergency services will continue to operate during the holiday.
The Foley City Council meeting and work session, normally held on the first Monday of the month, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8. The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the City Council chamber at Foley City Hall on East Laurel Avenue.
The Foley Community Library will be closed Monday, Sept. 7.
The Graham Creek Nature Preserve Interpretive Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, and closed Monday, Sept. 7. Trails and other outdoor recreation facilities at the preserve will remain open daily from dawn until dusk.
The Foley Railroad Museum and Holmes Medical Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, and closed Monday, Sept. 7.
Public Works offices will also be closed Monday. Recycling normally collected on Mondays will be picked up Tuesday, Sept. 8. The recycling schedule for the remainder of the week will not be affected.
Collection of limbs, yard debris and bulk items will resume Tuesday where crews left off the previous week. Some collections may run behind as crews work to catch up following the holiday.
Garbage collection is not expected to be affected by the holiday.
All collection routes begin at 6 a.m.
