The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, July 20.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.

Among the items on the agenda are: 

  • A public hearing to declare weeds and the accumulation of junk to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement on West Fig Avenue.
  • A public hearing to declare weeds, trash and stagnant water to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement on West Palm Avenue.
  • The presentation of Foley Revitalization and Beautification Awards.
  • Monthly department reports on Planning and Zoning, taxes and permit plans, the Police Department, Building Department, Fire Department and Human Resources Department.
  • A report on bills paid and approved in June 2026.
  • Granting a restaurant liquor license for Xian Noodle Place on South McKenzie Avenue.
  • Reappointing Billie Nardell to the Senior Center Advisory Board.
  • Transferring a capital project for the 2026 fiscal year to replace the Event Center lobby flooring from the Capital Project Plan to an operational account.
  • Amending library policies and procedures.
  • Amending a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign a contract with FARO Industries.
  • Accepting grant offers from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) for a Foley Municipal Airport improvement project for drainage.
  • Accepting grant offers from the FAA and ALDOT for the final reimbursement of a prior year project to construct an eight-unit T-hangar.
  • Reappointing JaNay Dawson to the Foley Historical Commission.
  • Declaring Street Department vehicles and equipment as surplus and disposing of the items.
  • Accepting the deed submitted by RH Deas Co. for airfield drainage improvements.
  • Approving a proposal from Premier Appraisals for the right-of-way acquisitions of the West Michigan Avenue and South Cedar Street intersection improvements.
  • Soliciting and awarding bids if within budget for the FY26 annual resurfacing project.
  • Approving additional funding for the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant for pedestrian improvements along U.S. 98 at Cedar Street, Oak Street, Pine Street and the Rose Trail crosswalk.
  • Approving monthly bids for June 2026.
  • Appropriating funding for the Street Department’s in-house construction of the east/west corridor of the Wilson/Equestrian Park Road.
  • Applying to the ALDOT Aeronautics Bureau to build a new terminal building.
  • Amending the Street Department budget for sidewalk maintenance.
  • Approving a contract for the city’s reinsurance/stop loss renewal.
  • Waiving fees for the use of Beulah Heights Park for a Back-to-School Community Kickoff and fundraiser event.
  • Authorizing the exercise of the city’s repurchase option under Section 2(c) of the statutory warranty deed to IRH Foley LLC (Baldwin County Instrument No. 2073627) and the reconveyance of undeveloped property in Zones 2, 3 and 4.
