It's official, we are going live or should I say virtual! Please see our attached calendar. City of Foley Named a 2019 Certified Municipality by the Alabama League of Municipalities

The City of Foley has been named a 2019 Certified Municipality by the Alabama League of Municipalities (ALM), a highly regarded honor awarded to cities and towns in which the mayor and all councilmembers have earned the professional designation of Certified Municipal Official. Foley Main Street moving forward on multiple projects

Foley Main Street, which came to the community in 2018 after the city was designated an Alabama Main Street city, recently scored three wins for downtown Foley. Tax holiday this weekend

Alabama’s 15th annual sales tax holiday for school-related items begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020, and ends at midnight Sunday, July 19, 2020, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, computers, books and clothing free of the state’s 4% sales or use tax. Governor Ivey Issues Amended Safer at Home Order

Governor Kay Ivey on Wednesday issued her fourteenth supplemental emergency proclamation containing an amended Safer at Home Order that includes a statewide mask requirement. Individuals will be required to wear a mask or other facial covering when in public and in close contact with other people, as described in the order. ROAD CLOSURE: E. Peachtree Ave.

Asphalt Services Inc. (ASI) is working on the Peachtree Subdivision on East Peachtree Ave. and will be installing a doghouse manhole to make the sewer connection. A portion of E. Peachtree Ave. between Washington Blvd. and N. Juniper St. will be closed. The work will be performed Thursday, July 16th, weather permitting. The road will be closed at 8:00 a.m. and be completed by 5:00 p.m. A traffic control plan map is attached for your convenience.

Foley year-to-date revenue better than anticipated

Earlier this year, Foley council approved a forecasted change in budget due to shutdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic. Directors and city staff came together to create a projected change in budget the city could potentially see due to lost revenue.
