The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting welcoming Alabama’s Original Blue Line BBQ & Grill to Foley. Local law enforcement and firefighters came to show support during the event.

The vision for Blue Line BBQ began after owner and chef Mike Adams retired from a 20-year career in law enforcement. Adams has served both in the U.S. and overseas, and he wanted to continue a legacy of service by sharing his passion for traditional North Alabama BBQ with others, he said.

“The Blue Line, to me, is actually the police that separate good from evil,” said Adams, discussing the name for the restaurant. “That’s how I’ve always viewed it, the thin blue line is that thin barrier between the good in this world and the evil in this world.
