FOLEY – With the conclusion of Foley’s 2025 city elections, residents can now recycle campaign signs by following city and county guidelines.

Signs should be placed in blue curbside recycling bins for pickup during regular Foley collection runs. Metal posts used to support the signs must be removed before recycling.

Collected signs are delivered to the Baldwin County Material Recovery Facility. Terri Graham, chief executive officer of the Baldwin County Solid Waste Authority, encouraged residents to take part in the recycling effort.

“As election season for many campaigns is coming to a close, let’s make a difference and recycle unwanted campaign signs from our local communities,” Graham said. “The Solid Waste Disposal Authority is committed to helping recycle those unwanted signs and make an environmentally friendly impact for Baldwin County.”

While Foley’s municipal elections were completed on Aug. 26, runoff elections continue in other Baldwin County municipalities during September.
