FOLEY — Most City of Foley offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Jan. 1 and Jan. 2, in observance of the New Year’s holiday.

City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed during this time. Emergency services, including police and fire, will continue to operate as usual.

The Foley Public Library will be closed Thursday and Friday, Jan. 1–2.

The Graham Creek Nature Preserve Interpretive Center will also be closed Jan. 1–2. Trails and other outdoor amenities at Graham Creek Nature Preserve will remain open seven days a week from dawn until dusk.

The Holmes Medical Museum and the Foley Railroad Museum will be closed Jan. 1–2 and will reopen Saturday, Jan. 3, during regular hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Foley Public Works offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage and recycling pickup will run as scheduled Monday, Dec. 29. Tuesday recycling will also be collected that day.

Recycling pickup usually scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday and garbage scheduled for Tuesday and and Thursday will be collected Tuesday, Dec. 30.

On Wednesday, Dec. 31, recycling usually scheduled for Fridays and garbage normally scheduled for Wednesday and Friday will be picked up.

Collection of limbs and yard debris will resume Monday, Jan. 4, 2026.
