The City of Foley has revealed its December tax revenues, marking the first three months down in the current fiscal year. Currently, the city is outperforming last year’s budget, and according to officials, by a good number.

“Year to date, for example, our sales tax is almost 17 percent above last year’s,” said City Administrator Mike Thompson. “Lodging tax is over 90 percent above last year, rental tax is 40 percent above last year, and then gas tax is about flat, it’s actually slightly down by about two percent.
