Increasing lifesaving capabilities and enhancing public safety, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation awarded a $15,507 equipment grant to Foley Police Department on Tuesday, March 12, at 2:30 p.m. The dedication ceremony, took place at the Firehouse Subs located at 167 9th Ave, highlighted the community impact of donations collected at local Firehouse Subs restaurants.

The below provides a brief description of the grant award celebrated at the March 12 event:

  • Foley Police Department received two all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to aid search and rescue missions and gain access to areas impassable by traditional emergency vehicles.

The Foundation is able to continue its mission of supporting local heroes thanks to Foundation donors and Firehouse Subs in-restaurant fundraising, $2 pickle bucket donations and spare change canisters; the Round Up Program, which allows guests to “round up” their bill to the nearest dollar; and the Firehouse of America (FOA) Charitable Sales Promotion, in which FOA will donate a sum equivalent to 0.11% of all gross sales with a minimum donation of $1MM through December 31, 2019.

“We thank our donors for their contributions that help us provide these lifesaving tools,” said Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Events and Outreach Coordinator Nancy Palmer. “Our first responders are heroes, and we want to be sure they have what they need to protect their communities.”
