FOLEY – The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, Oct. 20.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.

Among the items on the agenda are: 

  • A proclamation declaring Red Ribbon Week.
  • A discussion of Balloon Festival sponsorship.
  • A report on bills approved and paid in September for the record.
  • Department reports for Community Development, Revenue, Police and Fire.
  • Accepting public rights of way and infrastructure improvements in Ledgewick Subdivision Phases 1, 2b and 3 for city maintenance.
  • Declaring certain real property surplus and no longer needed for municipal purposes and authorizing its sale.

  • Reaffirming the Personnel System policy in regard to appointed city officials.

  • Approving Nov. 1, 2025 retirement awards.
  • Approving Ammon and Blackmon’s Change Order No. 4.
  • Approving monthly bids for September 2025.
  • Approving WAS Design’s professional services contract for the Cat Alley Entrance Project.
  • Approving Change Order No. 1 for the Park Avenue Traffic Calming Improvements Project.
  • Declaring Lt. Darren S. Miller’s badge and service weapon as surplus.
  • Purchasing a 2026 Ford F150 for the Planning and Development Inspection Department.
  • Approving Anchor Point Church to use Aaronville Park to sell lunch plates for Raise the Roof Ministries.
  • Amending the pay classification for the Police Department.
  • Authorizing conversion of unused sick leave to retirement service credit for retirees.
  • Approving addendum No. 2 to the Michigan Avenue Regional Stormwater Improvement contract with Thompson Engineering.
  • Declaring primary source vendors for the Foley Public Library for the 2026 fiscal year.
  • Purchasing a knuckleboom limb truck for the Street Department.
  • Amending the pay classification plan for the Marketing Department.
  • Reappointing Gary Hellmich to the Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
  • Reappointing Kathryn Ford to the Museum Archives Board.
  • Approving a commercial extension agreement between the city of Foley and Foley CB.
  • Amending a resolution to purchase and accept certain real property.
