FOLEY – The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, July 7 at Foley City Hall.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 417 East Laurel Ave..

  • A public hearing to consider the adopting amendments to the zoning ordinance.
  • A public hearing to consider the rezoning of property south of Baldwin County Road 12 South and east of the Foley Beach Express from Agricultural Open Space, AO, to Extended Business District, B1A.
  • Designating Frank and Jennie Rikard Day.
  • Recognizing the 100th birthday of Eva Bailey.
  • A presentation on the Coastal Alabama Farmers and Fishermens Market.
  • Holding the first reading of an ordinance amending the Foley Zoning Ordinance.
  • Holding the first reading of an ordinance establishing an entertainment district for the Downtown Foley Arts and Entertainment District.

  • Granting a waiver from the development moratorium for property located at the northwest corner of Pride Drive and South Juniper Street.
  • Approving a supplemental agreement for Volkert Inc. for north and south apron maintenance at the Foley Municipal Airport.
  • Submitting a grant application for pavement maintenance at the Foley Municipal Airport.
  • Approving the capital purchase of a robot camera for the Police Department.
  • Approving the capital purchase of a speed trailer for the Police Department.
  • Approving the design phase of the Schreiber Trail.
  • Reappointing Kim Ward to the Foley Historical Commission.

  • Approving a budget adjustment between operating accounts.
  • Accepting a Federal Aviation Administration grant offer for the construction of an eight-unit hangar.
  • Waiving the fees for the Foley Civic Center for a campaign candidate forum.
