FOLEY – The Foley City Council will meet Monday, Aug. 26 for its regular work session and meeting.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the council chambers at Foley City Hall.
Among the items on the agenda are:
- A public hearing to consider amending the Zoning Ordinance regarding unrelated people occupying homes.
- Adopting Zoning Ordinance amendments.
- Approving the annexation of territory within the Foley city limits.
- Approving the annexation of territory within or abutting the Foley city limits.
- Amending the Zoning Ordinance regarding unrelated people occupying homes.
- Approving or denying a business license application for Southern Grace Bridal and Tuxedo LLC.
- Memorializing the submission of an application for the Fiscal Year 2026 Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant.
- Rescinding a previously approved resolution for funding of Aaronville Park upgrades and appropriating funds for a new Aaronville Park improvement project.
- Approving two street lights at the intersection of Baldwin County 65 and Airport Road.
- Approving the rental of Heritage Park for the Tacos and Tequila Festival and a variance to allow alcohol to be sold.
- Setting a public hearing to consider Zoning Ordinance amendments.
- Approving a professional services contract addendum for the Michigan Avenue roundabouts for Thompson Engineering.
- Memorializing the request and accepting a contribution from Riviera Utilities and Energy Southeast Inc. for the Dyas Parking Lot improvements.
- Reappointing Chad Watkins to the Foley Revitalization and Beautification Advisory Board.
- Memorializing the acceptance of the Alabama Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division’s grant offer for reimbursement of construction of an eight-unit T-hangar at the Foley airport.
- Granting a request for a waiver from the moratorium for property located along Philomene Holmes Boulevard.
- Approving the surplus and disposal of six Street Department vehicles and equipment.
- Moving forward with the capital purchase related to the Byrne Discretionary Community Project Grant.
- Approving a contract for the city’s Reinsurance/Stop Loss for the 2025-2026 calendar year.
- Amending the contract for the Graham Creek Nature Preserve pavilion design contract.
- Approving the Baldwin County Commission funding for the James Road Extension Project.
- Purchasing vehicle equipment to outfit four 2023 Chevrolet Tahoes.
- Going to bid for a roof to the deck of the Finance Building and appropriating funding.
- Accepting an amendment to the subrecipient grant agreement from the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program.
- Granting or denying a request for a waiver from the moratorium for property located at the southeast corner of Baldwin County 32 and Bucolic Lane.
- Approving the 2025 Summer/Winter Season fireworks shows at OWA.
- Reappointing Erick Crosby to the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals.
- Appointing Rusty Hart to the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals.
- Amending a resolution to approve the surplus and disposal of a commercial freezer and the purchase of a freezer.
