FOLEY – An ordinance that would create more green spaces between roads and new developments in Foley is one of the items to be considered when the City Council meets Monday, Nov. 4.
The council will hold its regular meeting at City Hall. The meeting and work session will begin at 4 p.m.
The council is scheduled to hold a public hearing and a second vote on final approval of an ordinance to create a greenbelt zone, a landscaped barrier, around new subdivisions that border high-traffic corridor roads in Foley.
The council voted in October to approve an initial first reading of the ordinance.
Other items on the council agenda for Monday include:
- The annual report of the Impact Fee Review Committee for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.
- Declaring real property surplus and authorizing its sale.
- Rezoning property owned by Foley Professional Park LLC from Preferred Office (PO) and Extended Business District (B1-A) to Planned Unit Development (PUD).
- Amending a ground lease by Riviera Utilities.
- Approving a petition for annexation for property owned by Club RV LLC.
- Approving the first amendment to the IRH Foley LLC warranty deed.
- Amending the pay classification plan in the Public Works and Street Departments.
- Approving a commercial lease agreement between the city of Foley and Foley CB LLC.
- Amending the pay classification plan in Public Safety.
- Approving the purchase and surplus of zero-turn mowers in the Parks and Recreation Department.
- Purchasing an all-terrain vehicle for the Nature Parks Department.
- Amending a resolution to purchase a 2024 RC mower for the Street Department.
- Appropriating additional funds for the East Verbena Avenue Extension Project.
- Purchasing a vehicle for the Leisure Services food and beverage manager.
- Amending the capital purchase accounts for the 2024 fiscal year that were not received.
- Granting a facade grant extension for Mark Wright.
- Approving the purchase and surplus of a backhoe in the Parks and Recreation Department.
- Purchasing holiday decor for the Nature Parks Department.
- Memorializing the Good Roots Grant application.
- Purchasing a bucket truck from Riviera Utilities.
- Setting a public hearing to declare weeds a public nuisance on a lot at Hickory Place and ordering its abatement.
- Purchasing a multifunction copy machine.
- Approving the application for the FY 2025 ADECA Local Law Enforcement Assistance Grant for equipment purchases.
- Accepting the FY 2025 Transportation Alternative Set-Aside Program (TAP).
- Waiving the fees for the use of the Foley Civic Center for the Gateway Workforce Initiative on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025.
- Accepting an unbudgeted donation from Ascend Performance Materials and approving the purchase of an Arizona Vortex Kit for special rope rescue for the Foley Fire Department.
- Purchasing a fire extinguisher digital training system for the Foley Fire Department.
