FOLEY – More than 10,000 gently used books and other items will be available starting Feb. 6 in one of Baldwin County’s biggest book sales of the year.

The Friends of the Foley Public Library will hold their Annual Book Sale at the Foley Civic Center at 407 East Laurel Ave. in Foley.

The sale will include about 12,000 books in excellent condition in hardback and paperback sold at a fraction of their normal cost. The books are sorted and displayed by category. Categories include science fiction, art, children’s, pop fiction, cooking, history, biography and large format photo, as well as DVDs, music CDs, audio books, CD ROMs, vinyl records and other media.

The event will start with a members only sale Thursday, Feb. 6, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Memberships will be available at the door. Annual memberships are $10 for an individual and $15 for a family.

The sale will be open to the public starting Friday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon with a special sale in which participants can fill a Tanger shopping bag for $5.

Admission on Friday and Saturday is free and open to the public.

The sale is a fundraiser for the library. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the library.
