Children and families are invited to celebrate Read Across America Week at the Foley Public Library from March 2–7 with a full week of stories, creativity and reading fun.

Beginning at 10 a.m. each day, guest readers from the community will share their favorite stories during special story times designed to engage and inspire young listeners. In addition to daily readings, the library will host hands-on craft activities throughout the week, giving families even more opportunities to participate and create together.

Children can also join in the fun with Dr. Seuss-inspired dress-up days, adding imagination and excitement to the celebration. Young readers will have the chance to show off their creativity by participating in the library’s Bookmark Challenge, designing unique bookmarks that reflect their love of books.

The popular Reader Zone Reading Challenge is returning as well. Children who log 20 minutes of reading each day during the week will receive a prize, encouraging consistent reading habits and celebrating their dedication.

For more information about daily themes, dress-up days and activities, visit the Foley Public Library’s online calendar of events. Additional details are available by contacting the library or following the Foley Public Library on its website and social media pages.
