A space for anyone needing a warm location during expected cold weather will be open at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley.
The safer place location opened Monday, March 16, at 3 p.m. The site is scheduled to remain open until Wednesday, March 18 at 9 a.m. The warming space is located on the second floor of the church administration building at 506 N. Pine Street in Foley.
People using the shelter should bring their medications, bedding and personal care or comfort items. A limited number of blankets and pillows will be available. The Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency is encouraging residents to share information on the site with anyone who may need a warm place to stay during the cold weather.
Temperatures in Foley are predicted to fall to 31 degrees Monday night and 33 degrees Tuesday night.
