FOLEY – The Foley Public Library is offering several free opportunities for anyone who wants to learn more about computers, devices, and online tools.

The library’s Computer Lab provides one-on-one instruction sessions lasting 45 minutes to an hour. These personalized lessons are open to everyone — not just Foley Library cardholders.

Participants can receive help with personal devices such as cell phones, laptops, and tablets; library apps including Libby, Hoopla, and Mango; productivity programs like Microsoft Office and Google Suite; as well as basic computer skills and other topics.

To schedule a one-on-one session, call the Foley Public Library Computer Lab at (251) 943-7665, ext. 409 or 414, or visit the Computer Lab desk on the library’s second floor.

In addition to individual sessions, the Computer Lab regularly hosts free classes and seminars on topics such as Computer Basics, Introduction to Microsoft Office, Cybersecurity, and Introduction to Google Suite.

The next free seminar, “What Is Streaming?”, will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, from 2 to 3 p.m. Attendees will learn what streaming is, explore available platforms, and discover how to make the switch to streaming media with confidence.

Registration is required. To sign up for the “What Is Streaming?” seminar or view other upcoming events, visit foleylibrary.org and click on the Events Calendar. For questions or more information, contact the Foley Public Library Computer Lab at (251) 943-7665, ext. 409 or 414.
