The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, Aug. 3.

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.

Among the items on the agenda are: 

  • A public hearing to consider an ordinance to amend the Magnolia Walk East Development District, owned by SCP/BPG Magnolia Holdings by removing approximately 23.56 acres.
  • A public hearing to consider an ordinance rezoning property owned by SCP/BPG Magnolia Holdings from planned development district, PDD, to extended business district, B-1A.
  • A proclamation declaring Aug 2 through Aug. 8 as National Health Center Week.
  • A proclamation declaring Aug. 10 through Aug. 14 as Glowing Green for 811 Week.
  • A proclamation declaring Sept. 17 through Sept. 23 as Constitution Week.
  • A presentation on the EPIC, South Baldwin Entrepreneurship Program by Tara McMeans and Allison Niemisto.
  • The first reading of an ordinance establishing fees and policies for the gymnasium at the Foley Activity Center.
  • The first reading of an ordinance relating to speed limits and traffic controls in the Bay Forest Estates and Wolf Bay Point subdivisions.
  • The second reading of an ordinance to amend the Magnolia Walk East Development District, owned by SCP/BPG Magnolia Holdings by removing approximately 23.56 acres.
  • The second reading of an ordinance rezoning property owned by SCP/BPG Magnolia Holdings from planned development district, PDD, to extended business district, B-1A.
  • Amending the pay classification plan to restructure certain positions in the new Foley Community Library.
  • Approving the rental of Heritage Park to Lisa Yeater to host the Tacos and Tequila Festival with a variance to allow alcohol to be sold.
  • Approving the September 2026 retirement awards.
  • Allowing the Jehovah Witness Community to use Heritage Park to display free Bible-based literature.
  • Reappointing Bill Swanson to the Foley Historical Commission.
  • Declaring Lt. Tony Fuqua’s badge and service weapon as surplus.
  • Purchasing two EV Chevrolet blazers and related emergency equipment.
  • Authorizing the mayor to sign the TFM MOU.
  • Amending Resolution 26-1255 to authorize the mayor or airport manager to enter into agreements with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) for the final reimbursement of a prior year project to construct an eight-unit T-hangar.
  • Authorizing sponsorship for the Elberta German Sausage Festival.
  • Approving the contract amendment for the Mills Community Pedestrian Improvement Project.
  • Authorizing the dedication of a 30-foot wide strip of city-owned real property.
  • Approving GMC’s proposal for the replat of Lot 1 of 98 West subdivision.
  • Accepting an updated professional services proposal from GeoCon related by engineer testing for the First Responder Hurricane Safe Room.
  • Closing streets in downtown Foley for Hometown Halloween on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026.
  • Approving the use of Foley Park by Calvary Chapel of Foley to offer prayer to the community.
  • Closing streets and allowing the use of Heritage Park for the 2026 Society of Black Hats Foley Witches Ride Charity Event and after party.
  • Amending the Pay Classification Plan to establish additional positions for the upcoming Destination and Events Services Department.
  • Amending the Pay Classification Plan to reclassify certain positions in multiple departments to better align job duties and operational needs.
  • Accepting Amendment 2 to the subrecipient grant agreement from the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program.
  • Setting a public hearing to declare weeds to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement at Regency Point 1 on Greentree Lane.
  • Setting a public hearing to declare weeds to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement on West Carolyn Avenue.
  • Setting a public hearing to declare weeds to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement at the Solar Farm on Baldwin County 65 in Foley.
  • Setting a public hearing to declare the accumulation of junk to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement on East Michigan Avenue.
  • Setting a public hearing to declare the accumulation of junk in the public right of way to be a public nuisance and ordering its abatement on West Magnolia Avenue.
  • Approving the City of Foley to host the first Gulf Coast Equipment “Roadeo” and authorizing the mayor to negotiate and sign an agreement with OWA.
