FOLEY – Area residents and city officials will discuss zoning for the recently annexed community of Mills in a public meeting Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Foley Civic Center.

Mills residents voted Aug. 22 to have their community annexed into the city of Foley. The annexed area west of Baldwin County 65  includes about 105 residential lots with about 170 people.

Most of the area is residential. The city is also working on plans to build a park in the newly annexed area.

The park will be on a 4-acre parcel purchased by the city.

Foley officials also plan to install new lights on several streets in Mills. The City Council approved the installation of 55 lights in September.
