FOLEY – Foley residents who wish to vote in the upcoming 2025 municipal election must register by Monday, Aug. 11. The election will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and will determine representatives for four Foley City Council districts.
Voters in Districts 1, 2, 4, and 5 will cast their ballots at the Foley Civic Center, located at 407 E. Laurel Ave. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
District 3 has only one candidate on the ballot, and Mayor Ralph Hellmich is unopposed in his bid for re-election.
According to Alabama state law, residents must be registered to vote at least 14 days before the election. Eligible residents can register online through the Alabama Secretary of State’s website at:

To vote in Foley’s municipal election, individuals must:

Be a U.S. citizen

Be at least 18 years old

Reside within the Foley city limits
All voter registrations must be approved by the Baldwin County Board of Registrars before becoming active.
Photo identification is required to vote, either at the polls or by absentee ballot, unless otherwise exempt under state law.
