Costume contest, pet adoptions, and pet parade among many offerings
Everyone loves their furry friends, so OWA Parks & Resort invites you to bring them along to enjoy the fun at our 5th annual St. Pawtty’s Day celebration! This event is perfect for pet lovers, pet parents, and St. Patrick’s Day party goers. The festivities are sure to delight guests of all ages featuring a DJ, dog adoptions, a pet kissing booth, pet parade, and more!
The fun begins with pet adoptions on OWA Island from 1-4pm provided by Mobile County Animal Shelter. OWA will cover the adoption fee for those wishing to bring home their fur-ever friend. Don’t miss the doggy dance party beginning at 2pm on the Island, along with the pet kissing booth for a priceless photo opportunity!
The pet parade kicks off at 3:30pm on OWA Island and will travel throughout Downtown OWA. A pet-friendly costume contest will immediately follow the parade on the OWA Island stage. Cash prizes will be given for OWA Choice, Dynamic Duo, Mr. & Mrs. St. Pawtty’s, and Most Creative. Top dog will bring home a $200 cash prize! Be sure to pre-register your pets online today for a discounted rate of $10, or $15 the day of the event. Pups must be registered prior to the parade and costume contest.
All St. Pawtty’s Day events are complimentary to attend and open to the public. Registration fees are required for those who wish to participate in the pet parade and costume contest with all proceeds donated to the Mobile County Animal Shelter.
