The downtown Foley public parking lot near the intersection of Alabama 59 and U.S. 98 will close for several days starting Monday for the next phase of the improvement project.
The lot will close at 6 a.m. Monday, June 1, and is scheduled to remain closed until Thursday, June 4, at 5 p.m.
The city purchased the lot in 2025. Improvements to the site include landscaping and trees planted on islands on the property. The project includes resurfacing, striping and installing curb stops on about 2,300 square yards of parking area at the site.
The project will support the growth of downtown businesses by providing convenient, accessible public parking and increasing access for customers, employees and visitors.
