FOLEY – The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, Sept. 15.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.
Among the items on the meeting agenda are:
- Recognizing Tuesday, Sept. 16 as National Voter Registration Day.
- Reviewing department reports on community development, police, fire, taxes and permit plans.
- Approving and paying bills for the record.
- Accepting public rights of way and infrastructure improvements in Blue Marlin LLC (Marlin Place subdivision) for city maintenance.
- Accepting public rights of way and infrastructure improvements in Quall Landing Phase 1, 2 and 3 for city maintenance.
- Honoring City Councilman Richard Dayton.
- Authorizing a continuation of the service agreement with TK Electric Corporation for three years for the pedestrian bridge maintenance.
- Approving an agreement with the Mobile County Commission’s Southwest Alabama Regional Highway Safety Office/Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs Community Traffic Safety Program for reimbursement of overtime for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
- Approving the electricity for the street lights located in Lakeview Gardens Phase 2.
- Setting a public hearing to declare weeds to be a nuisance and ordering its abatement on the south side of the entrance to Crown Walk off Hickory Street.
- Updating the signatories on all city bank accounts.
- Approving street light installation on Cater Lee Way.
- Waiving fees for the South Baldwin Literacy Council.
- Waiving fees for Ecumenical Ministries Inc.
- Appropriating funds for the renovation of the Public Works building project.
- Approving monthly bids.
- Declaring a vacancy in the Foley City Council District 3.
- Approving the model home infrastructure construction and hold harmless agreement between Kolter Development and the City of Foley for Cresswind Sandy Creek.
- Approving the vacation of rights of way adjacent to the real property owned by Springdale Stores Inc. and Delaney Investments Inc.
