FOLEY – The Foley City Council will hold its regular work session and meeting Monday, Jan. 5.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at Foley City Hall.
Among the items on the agenda are:
- A public hearing to declare weeds to be a nuisance and order its abatement on South Hickory Street/Crownwalk.
- A public hearing to declare weeds to be a nuisance and order its abatement on West Laurel Avenue.
- A public hearing to declare weeds to be a nuisance and order its abatement on East Gateway Circle.
- A public hearing to declare weeds to be a nuisance and order its abatement on South Oak Street.
- A public hearing to declare weeds to be a nuisance and order its abatement in the common area at Parkside Subdivision.
- A public hearing to declare weeds to be a nuisance and order its abatement on Baldwin County 20.
- The first reading of an ordinance to amend adopted permit fees.
- The first reading of an ordinance to amend impact fees.
- The first reading of an ordinance to require a permit to perform work in the public right-of-way.
- The first reading of an ordinance relating to the speed limits and traffic controls within the Quali Landing Subdivision.
- The first reading of an ordinance authorizing the sale and conveyance of property no longer needed for municipal purposes and to grant an option for the purchase of certain real property to USS Innovations LLC.
- The second reading of an ordinance relating to the speed limits and traffic control in Marlin Place Subdivision.
- Approving the impact fee study proposal from TicshlerBise.
- Authorizing employees to enter property at South Hickory Street/Crownwalk to abate a public nuisance.
- Authorizing employees to enter property on the common area of Parkside Subdivision to abate a public nuisance.
- Going to bid on a heavy-duty truck and declaring a truck as surplus for the Nature Parks Department.
- Increasing the performance contract with the Taking Off Hot Air Balloon Company.
- Allowing the Jehovah Witness Community to use Heritage Park to display free Bible-based literature.
- Amending the Capital Purchase Accounts for Fiscal Year 2025 for approved items that were not received.
- Entering into the FBI’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Overtime Reimbursement Agreement for Fiscal Year 2026.
- Installing street lights on West Satsuma Avenue.
- Accepting the donation of a police canine.
- Executing a project agreement between the City of Foley and Glacier LLC.
- Rescheduling Council meeting dates due to holidays.
- Approving an increase to the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival sponsorship.
