FOLEY – Foley voters will once again cast their ballots at the Foley Civic Center for the upcoming 2025 municipal elections, following a temporary change in 2020.

Election Day is set for August 26, 2025, with a runoff election, if necessary, on September 23, 2025.

On March 17, 2025, the Foley City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance to officially designate the Civic Center as the polling place. A second reading and final vote will take place in an upcoming council meeting.

In 2020, polling was temporarily moved to the Foley Event Center to provide additional space for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, Foley residents will vote to elect a mayor and five City Council members, each serving a four-year term.

  • City Council members will be elected by district, following recent adjustments to district boundaries to reflect population changes.
  • The mayor’s position will continue to be elected at-large by all Foley voters.

In 2021, the Alabama Legislature extended municipal office terms by one year to prevent overlapping elections with presidential and state races.
