Foley Public Library has several holiday programs coming up during the month of December. For more information on any of the listed events, please contact the library at 251-943-7665 or check out our website at www.foleylibrary.org.
The library will start the month with a “Name That Librarian” program on Mon, Dec 6, 2021. Come to the library and see if you can pick out the caricature of each library employee. Patrons will be given a list of employee names and they will need to write the corresponding number by the name to match it to a caricature. This program will last 2 weeks and on Mon, Dec 20, a name will be drawn from among the participants to receive a holiday prize basket.
Our Children’s Dept will be hosting two special Storytimes during December. On Tues, Dec 14 & Wed, Dec 15 @ 10 am each day, Weeks Bay Reserve will be treating attendees to a book read and a bird feeder craft. Then on Tues, Dec 21 @ 10 am, attendees will enjoy a special visit from Santa along with his helper and be given a Christmas treat. There will be no Storytime on Wed, Dec 22. The library will be closing at 12 noon on this date.
On Wed, Dec 15 @ 12 noon, the library will host a community Lunch & Learn. A representative of the Foley Police Dept will be on hand to share information about community programs such as Neighborhood Watch, Yellow Dot, House Check Initiative, Project Shield and more. A free lunch will be served. Seating is limited and a reservation is required. Please RSVP at the library’s website or call Melanie at 251-943-1031 to reserve a spot.
The library will be hosting “Caroling, Cookies & Cocoa” on Thurs, Dec 16 from 3-4 pm. Come to hear carols sung, or you can sing along, while you enjoy Christmas cookies and warm cocoa. It will be just what’s needed to get folks in the holiday spirit.
