Foley council made the decision during its May meeting to return to the original plan of improving Farmers Market Road as opposed to extending Pecan Street.
Earlier this year, Foley passed a resolution to increase and appropriate funds to connect Pride Drive North to South Pecan Street, while pushing back the planned Farmers Market Road project. At the time, Pecan Street had become a higher priority than Farmers Market Road due to OWA’s upcoming RV Park.
