The Results are in! Winners of the Downtown Foley 2023 Window Decorating Contest have been chosen.
The people’s choice was a ferocious contest – but it came down to a horse race with Soul Bowlz and Gypsy Queens Java. Soul Bowlz won People’s Choice by a nose.
Thank you again to our judges, Debbie Williams with WKRG Channel Five, Fran Thompson with the Mullet Wrapper and J.P. Swiger of Swiger Studios for judging the Foley Main Street Christmas Decorating Contest. Our wonderful judges were very diligent, but they found it very hard to judge the twenty-one entries (which included a few that entered the judging choosing to forgo the people’s choice). So many had different strong points and merits.
There was a clear first place winner based on family friendly (Lilo & Stitch), lighting, presentation and creativity and that was Warren Averett. Second place was closer with a cluster within points of each other. But after tallying the three judges together, Gypsy Queens Java came in second!
