FOLEY – On Wednesday, April 16, the City of Foley will host its annual Volunteer Appreciation event to recognize the many individuals who generously give their time to support the city’s operations, programs, and quality of life.
The event will take place at the Foley Civic Center and is open to all city volunteers who serve on various boards, commissions, museums, and agencies throughout Foley.
Mayor Ralph Hellmich emphasized the importance of volunteer contributions to the community.
“This is our opportunity to express gratitude to the dedicated individuals who give their time and energy to help make Foley a better place,” Hellmich said. “Whether it’s serving on a board or assisting at our museums and library, their work truly makes a difference.”
Foley is home to several hundred volunteers who serve in a wide range of roles across the city. The city is also actively seeking new volunteers to contribute to programs at local museums, the public library, and various municipal boards.
