FOLEY — Sara Kate Harkins, city events coordinator, received the Extra Mile Award for outstanding service.
Mayor Ralph Hellmich said she was selected from a list of six finalists nominated by their co-workers.
“It is very difficult because they’re all deserving and you should be honored to be nominated by your fellow employees,” Hellmich said of selecting the winner. “It is something very special.”
Also among the service award winners at the annual event was Martin Teem, who was recognized for working for the city for 35 years. Teem has worked with the city longer than any other employee recognized for 2024.
