Downtown Foley was transformed into a Halloween playground on Oct. 28 as people hit the streets for the Annual Hometown Halloween event, hosted each year by the city of Foley. Kids wore their Halloween costumes to visit booths from local businesses and organizations. Those signed up for a booth were encouraged to have games and prizes for all who visited.

At 6 p.m., the costume contest began. Each age category had one winner who was chosen by a panel of three judges based on creativity and originality, handmade or unusual items used, time taken to prepare costume and repurposing items. Bonus point were awarded to those who got into character.
