FOLEY – Foley city offices will be closed July 4 and 5 for the Independence Day holidays.

The Foley Railroad Museum, Model Train Exhibit and Holmes Medical Museum will be closed July 4. The Railroad Museum and Holmes Medical Museum will reopen at regular hours July 5. The model train exhibit will reopen Saturday, July 6.

The Foley Public Library will be closed July 4 and 5. The library will reopen Saturday, July 6.

The Nature Center at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve will close Thursday, July 4 and reopen Monday, July 8. The Graham Creek Nature Preserve will remain open seven days a week during daylight hours.

The Foley Senior Center will close July 4 and reopen July 8. The dance usually scheduled for Saturday nights will not be held that weekend.

Garbage and recyclable collection schedules will be altered for the holiday.

Collections usually scheduled for July 4 will be picked up Tuesday, July 2. Collections scheduled for Friday, July 5 will be picked up Wednesday, July 3.

The collection of limbs, yard wastes and bulk debris will resume Monday, July 8. Crews will begin collection on routes regularly scheduled for collection that day and in areas where yard wastes would have been picked up on Wednesday, July 3.

Garbage collection will take priority for pickups followed by recyclables until the collections are completed and up to date. Yard waste routes could be delayed for several days until all pickups are completed.
