The Foley Sports Tourism calendar heats up this month with almost nonstop baseball and softball at the Foley Sports Complex and a range of sports at the Foley Event Center which will have the staff busily flipping the building to accommodate each new setup.

Things are already underway at Foley Sports Complex with USA Softball of Alabama which runs June 29 – July 3. The baseball diamonds will be in heavy rotation with the Perfect Game World Series hosting tournaments all month long with different teams playing each week. The softball diamonds will be no different with three weeks of USSSA Fastpitch events as well as the extremely popular Southern Nationals competition.

But the bustle won’t be limited to Foley Sports Complex. Foley Event Center is hosting the ACE Volleyball Camp June 5 – 8 followed by high school volleyball on July 16 – 17 for the McGill-Toolen Summer Play Date. The building will be changed over to accommodate the North American Grappling Association’s US National Grappling Championship the next weekend. Things wrap up with the final of four Varsity Spirit Universal Cheerleader’s Association Cheer Camps July 27 – 30.

Out at the FST Fields, it will be hot but that won’t stop the pace of the 5v5 Southern Challenge, which takes the goals, the speed, and the size of indoor soccer outdoors July 24 -25.

Even Graham Nature Preserve is getting in on the action this month by hosting the 6th Annual Mid Summer Meltdown disc golf tournament.

We know between our events and the steady stream of tourists ready to get back out and adventuring after the pandemic it will be a busy month. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to assist you in making this season a success.
