FOLEY – Foley’s annual Library Book Sale is underway with more than 10,000 books and other items available during one of Baldwin County’s biggest book sales of the year.
The Friends of the Foley Public Library is holding their Annual Book Sale at the Foley Civic Center at 407 East Laurel Ave.
The event began Thursday, Feb. 6 with a sale for Friends of the Library members. The public event begins Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon with a special sale in which participants can fill a Tanger shopping bag for $5.
The sale includes about 12,000 books in excellent condition in hardback and paperback sold at a fraction of their normal cost. The books are sorted and displayed by category. Categories include science fiction, art, children’s, pop fiction, cooking, history, biography and large format photo, as well as DVDs, music CDs, audio books, CD ROMs, vinyl records and other media.
Admission on Friday and Saturday is free and open to the public.
The sale is a fundraiser for the library. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the library and help fund library programs throughout the year.
